Smarter surface preparation
Advanced Sandblasting robots
Sandblasting robots are sophisticated machines equipped with robotic arms and specialized nozzles. They are programmed to follow precise trajectories, ensuring consistent and thorough surface preparation. The process typically involves the following steps:
- Robot Programming: Engineers program the robot’s movements and parameters, such as the speed, angle, and intensity of the abrasive blast.
- Abrasive Material Delivery: The robot is connected to a hopper containing the abrasive material, such as sand, steel grit, corundum, cobber slag or glass beads.
- Blasting Operation: The robot’s arm moves along the designated path, directing the abrasive material towards the surface to be cleaned or prepared.
- Containment and Ventilation: The entire process is carried out in a controlled environment with proper ventilation and containment systems to protect workers and the environment.
