Conversion of Existing Blasting Booth into Spray Booth at MPA Kesam
As MPA Kesam expanded their production capacity, the need arose to convert an existing blasting booth into a fully functional spray booth. Despite significant space limitations and structural constraints within the existing building, Ventherm successfully delivered a modern, energy‑efficient, and seamlessly integrated solution tailored to the customer’s operational needs.
- Complete conversion from blasting booth to spray booth, enabling increased production capacity and improved workflow.
- Installation of a new air handling unit equipped with a cross‑heat exchanger, achieving exceptionally high heat recovery despite the limited available space.
- Re‑use of existing concrete pits, originally part of the blasting recovery system, now transformed into air extraction pits with new floor gratings to ensure optimal ventilation.
- Integration of LED lighting directly into the spray booth walls for improved visibility and a better working environment.
The air handling unit was strategically installed on the first floor adjacent to the spray booth, utilizing the limited space efficiently. All ducting was fully integrated into the existing building structure to maintain a clean and functional layout.
